Claudia Brant was born in Argentina and began writing songs at a very early age. She was first signed to Warner Music at 22 and released two successful albums in South America: “Claudia Brant” (1991) and “Tu marca en el alma” (1996). In 1991, she won the “OTI Song Festival” songwriting contest in Mexico as a writer/performing artist and in 1995, she was the winner at the “Viña del Mar” festival in Chile; these are two of the most prestigious songwriting awards in all of Latin America.
In 1998 she moved to California to continue developing her career as a songwriter-producer. Since then, Claudia has continued expanding her international success with an average of 40 song releases per year in various genres and languages including Spanish, Portuguese, English, French and Korean.

Throughout her career, Claudia has received some of the most prestigious awards in the music business, including 9 Latin Grammy and American Grammy nominations as a songwriter, artist and producer. She was awarded an American Grammy for “Best Latin Pop Album” in 2019 for her album ‘Sincera’, which also received a “Best Portuguese Language Song” Latin Grammy nomination for her song “Mil e Uma”. The award-winning record, produced by Cheche Alara and Moogie Canazio, was recorded at East West Studios in Los Angeles, California. “Sincera” features performances by Antonio Carmona, Alex Cuba, La Marisoul Hernández and Arnaldo Antunes. Claudia was also awarded a Latin Grammy for ‘Song of the Year’ in 2009 for “Aquí Estoy Yo” by Luis Fonsi.
Claudia has also been named ‘Latina Songwriter of the Year’ by SESAC in 2007 and 2009, as well as ‘Latina Songwriter of the Year’ by ASCAP in 2012 and 2015. Her song, “No Me Doy Por Vencido”, written with Luis Fonsi, was named ‘Song of the Decade’ by Billboard Magazine, as it held the #1 position in the Latin charts for 19 consecutive weeks. Claudia was also inducted into the Latin Songwriter’s Hall of Fame in 2016.
In addition to her ongoing songwriting and production endeavors, Claudia was also appointed ‘West Coast VP’ for The Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame and was reelected as a National Trustee board member for The Recording Academy. For the past years, she has also dedicated her time towards education, imparting several workshops and clinics throughout Argentina, Mexico and United States since 2023. Claudia is currently teaching Latin Songwriting classes in the prestigious Berklee College of Music.
Some of her latest releases include her solo Album Manuscrito Deluxe, a remastered version cointaining 8 songs from her original album Manuscrito, as well as new versions of her hit songs “Juntos“, “No Me Doy Por Vencido 2021“ and her new single “Hojas Del Viento“ with Nahuel Pennisi. Other upcoming and most recent releases include songs by: Manuel Medrano, Malú, Morat, Giulia Be, Natalia Jiménez, Francisca Valenzuela, Esteman Noel Schajris, Elsa y Elmar, Consuelo Schuster, Jay de la Cueva, La Santa Cecilia, Cami, Andres Cepeda, Soledad, Ximena Sariñana, Victoria La Mala, Chiquis RiveraTechy Fatule, Andres Koi, Luz Gaggi and Chita. In her new role as a producer, Claudia, in partnership with Josh Cumbee, has produced the albums of Chita, Luz Gaggi, and Zahur.
In April 2024, Claudia launched a joint venture with Warner Chappell and her publishing company, Cha Cha Cha Music Publishing, to develop, promote, and support emerging Latin songwriters. In just one year, her writers have achieved more than 10 recordings, including singles by Chiquis, Lupita Infante, and Jerry Di.
Recently, Claudia was appointed as a member of the ASCAP Board of Directors and is currently the only fully Latina member of this body. She feels deeply honored by this distinction and is committed to the cause of defending the rights of authors and songwriters.
